Research & Programs

Five questions shaping the Greater Horn.

The Forum’s research turns rigorous, regional evidence into policy for peace and integration. Our programmes are organised around five enduring questions for the Greater Horn — examined across disciplines, with a future-oriented eye.

How we work

A method built for foresight.

01

Anticipatory & scenario-building

We explore possible futures for the region — scenario by scenario — to inform decisions before crises harden, rather than only explaining the past.

02

Multi- & trans-disciplinary

Every human and social science discipline is brought to bear, with scholars drawn from across the eight nations and the diaspora.

03

Research–policy linkage

Findings are carried to policy-makers, civil society, business, media and youth — building a culture of dialogue across the Horn.
